Aquest commutador permet encendre i apagar dispositius elèctrics de forma remota des d’una app (eWeLink), així com programar temporitzadors i compartir el control amb diversos usuaris. A diferència dels interruptors tradicionals, ofereix integració amb assistents com Amazon Alexa i Google Home, a més de monitorització de l’estat en temps real.

El commutador està dissenyat per a càrregues monofàsiques estàndard (resistives i algunes inductives). El seu límit típic és de 10 A i fins a 2200 W a 220 V~50/60 Hz. No es recomana per a càrregues superiors ni motors industrials. És aconsellable verificar dues vegades les especificacions del fabricant per a aplicacions crítiques.

Per instal·lar-lo, cal interrompre la línia d’alimentació i connectar els cables d’entrada i sortida seguint l’esquema del producte (Line i Neutral). Es recomana tallar el corrent abans de manipular-lo, utilitzar eines aïllades i comprovar la continuïtat. Si no es té experiència en instal·lacions elèctriques domèstiques, s’aconsella recórrer a un professional.

El manteniment és mínim: es recomana revisar les connexions un cop l’any per evitar afluixaments o sobreescalfaments. La vida útil esperada sol superar els 5 anys sota cicles de commutació normals (<100 operacions/dia) i treballant en ambients secs entre 0 i 40 °C.

És compatible amb xarxes WiFi de 2,4 GHz (no admet 5 GHz), i es pot integrar amb Amazon Echo i Google Home. L’app eWeLink és necessària (Android/iOS) i és recomanable comprovar que altres elements de la vostra xarxa domòtica siguin compatibles o permetin integracions. Poden sorgir problemes si feu servir routers mesh o sistemes avançats, on pot requerir configuració addicional.
